Tips for sweet dreams
There is no big secret or trick to get your baby to sleep easily. It’s a good idea to try different things until you finally arrive at what works best for your own baby. We have gathered for you some advice and tips from experts and mums that you will be able to apply very easily starting today.
Swaddling
From birth to about four months of age, babies toss during sleep. This can be due to a strong reflex – the startle reflex – and results in their sleep being interrupted and making them irritable.
The best solution to avoid this is to wrap your baby in a thin blanket or muslin. In this way, you offer peace and security that the baby greatly needs after its birth.
You tried swaddling and it didn’t work out? Don’t give up. Sleep changes so rapidly in the early days that some things that did not work out first, could work out later on. It is worth to give it another try as long as the baby can still not roll over.

Natural pink noise helps tο sleep better
With pink noise you hear a deeper sound due to its lower frequency. Soothing nature sounds like rustling leaves, wind, heartbeat and rhythmic falling raindrops can be very calming for babies and adults. Babies while still in their mother’s womb are surrounded by low frequency sounds. The MOONIE humming bear is the only toy with the highest quality natural, non-computer-generated pink noise. The sound of the heartbeat is an real recording from inside the mother’s womb. So the baby can calm down and feel safe with the familiar sound. The MOONIE bear has additionally a built-in lamp, which helps with night-time baby care.
The power of habit
Babies are known to love routine and habits. Create a bedtime routine to help your baby know it’s time to sleep.
This routine may include a lullaby, playing pink noises, a massage, a bath, turning off the lights, reading, or anything else you normally do before you put your baby to sleep.
If you repeat these actions in exactly the same way every time, the baby will associate them with the sleep schedule and begin to follow them.
Safe and calm atmosphere
Before putting your baby to sleep create a calm atmosphere. Dim the lights, play a gentle lullaby will help the baby feel calm and fall asleep more easily.
Keep the room temperature between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius, which is the best temperature for a comfortable sleep.

Place a stuffed toy, a blanket or your t-shirt that will have your own scent in the baby’s crib. Remember that babies have a highly developed sense of smell. When they go to sleep or wake up in the night, the smell of their mum can be very comforting and will help them fall back to sleep.
Be prepared for quick changes
Be prepared before you put your baby to sleep to not look for new diapers or fresh crib sheets in the middle of the night. That means double layer the crib sheets with a waterproof pad between, that you can easily remove without waking the baby up. Have diapers and other needed utensils close by.
Special tip: The Moonie bear is a great nightlamp to not switch on the lights, which could disturb the little one’s sleep.
