What is BPA? Why is it bad and should we be concerned?
Bisphenol-A (BPA) is in use since 1960 in the plastic manufacturing and is an industrial chemical added to many commercial products like baby bottles, plastic water bottles, tableware and hygiene products. It is a chemical which hardens the plastics.
BPA has the ability to leach into foods and beverages. BPA is in fact an estrogen like compound, it can change the hormone functions and affect the health over time.
